about

Fallen Short is one of, if not the best, bands in Modesto. They've been at it since 2005, played tons of shows, wrote a lot of quality stuff, took a hiatus for a year and came back, and are now just starting to get back on the ball towards hustling for their breakthrough. They're also all old friends of mine that go waaaaaay back to junior high, too. I first heard this song at the first local show I ever went to - a New Year's gig at the Queen Bean in 2006 - and right from then I've always dug this one the most. It took a while but I finally got Justin to give me the right lyrics so I could sing it properly... and by circumstance, I only got one shot to really record them too!

"I Faked It" was written by Justin Ross, who was quite pleased to wake up one morning to this and showed his appreciation by posting about this on Facebook.

Dan played his Harmony electric, Cheddar's Squire bass, electric drumset, and sang a couple of one-shot vocal takes on this one.
