This EP (and really all the installments in this series) is an answer to the following question: What if Dan Vallerand wrote these songs his friends made? How would he have approached it? I got inspiration for doing all this from Jeff Lynne's "Long Wave" album, wherein he covered songs from his youth that he loved. The same concept applies here!

Local Covers #2, as I called it, was recorded during an unfortunate time wherein I lost faith in my music and burnt out for a couple of years, which is why it took so long to complete. Finding the confidence to see it through was equally tough, and completing it was even tougher... I had wanted to get it out first by the final day of voting in the 2016 Modesto Area Music Awards, but that fell through due to the major hustle I was putting in for the award, and then (like the first one) by Christmas, but I just didn't have enough free time due to being sick throughout the month. I finally got it fully finished in January of the next year.

It was quite an adventure trying to figure out just how I was gonna efficiently Vallerandize these songs, and I'm hoping you'll like the results! "Spaceman" especially hung me up for a while due to its complexity - but I still hope you'll like my arrangements.

All songs recorded at Dan's House & touched up at the Dannypartment, with permission of all artists. Tracking started in June of 2014, roughly where the burnout started kicking in heavily, and was completed by mid-January of 2017, after a year of things finally coming full circle and regaining my faith in my own music.
