about

Colton Young is a guy I collaborate with almost all the time... like, to the point to where at least once or twice each year we do something cool. "Firecracker Lounge" was one of the earliest songs we jammed on - one of the first, actually, and I even wrote lyrics for it once that I later found discarded in the trash. I always thought this song had the most commercial potential out of all of his songs, and so I based this version on the way we used to play it (replete with a keyboard loop from a rehearsal and my interpretation of some of Colton's unused lead lines) for the most part.

Written by Colton Young, who knew that one of these days I was gonna do my own version. He dug it.

Dan played his Harmony electric, Cheddar's Squire bass, electric drumset, several voices, and through the magic of the past, keyboards on this one.
